This ministry was founded in response to a call from God that came through a vision. While sitting in Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in 2017, Adeline was praying with my eyes closed. She had a vision of a tabernacle, like the one before me. Flames were coming from beneath the tabernacle but were not consuming it. As she opened my eyes and looked at Jesus disguised as a simple host in the monstrance, she contemplated the meaning of this vision. She made a connection between her vision and the theophany of God in the burning bush.
This ministry’s logo is an attempt to capture that vision, yet it does not quite accomplish that task.
This Ministry’s Title
In Exodus 3, Moses’ divine encounter in the burning bush highlights a crucial moment in biblical history. It marks the start of Moses’ mission for God, which is to lead the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt into freedom. God reveals Himself to Moses as the God of his ancestors. This revelation affirms God’s relationship with the patriarchs and their descendants.
This ministry was borne from a Divine encounter and is meant to be a place of encounter with the Divine.
This Ministry’s Story
After I had the vision already mentioned, I recognized that God was saying to me that just as God revealed Himself Moses in the extraordinary display of the burning bush that was not consumed, God was revealing Himself to me as well in the astonishing vision of the tabernacle surrounded by flames. I sensed that God was revealing to me that the tabernacle is likewise a place of theophany. This is a place of divine presence, and God makes Himself evident to those who believe in His real presence in the tabernacle.
I later related this vision to something a priest said to me when I attended a retreat in Dallas in 2014. When he prayed with me privately, he said he saw a burning bush, but did not know what it meant. He said that I needed to pray about it, and God will reveal to me what it means.
In 2018, after much prayer, I received a confirmation that helped me put the pieces of my experiences together. When I met with a friend to get help with starting a website called Burning Bush Encounters, my friend asked me my goal for this ministry. I said that I wanted it to be a place where people could encounter God through my teachings, testimonies, and prayer. However, being busy with my studies made it impossible to build this ministry, so I put it on hold.
I again received a confirmation in 2024 when a friend suggested that I start a ministry at the same time that I was sensing that it was time to start this Burning Bush Encounters Ministry because I had finished my studies earlier that year. God then opened all the doors needed to make this ministry a reality and to guide me in the direction I should follow.
